Chocolate Starfish play Bat Out Of Hell for its 50th anniversary
Singer Adam Thompson and the band revive their Meat Loaf show in 2027, from Thirroul and Sydney's State Theatre to Melbourne's Palais and Perth's Crown Theatre.
The album came out in 1977, and Thompson says one in 15 Australians owns a copy. The set includes Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad, Paradise By The Dashboard Light and the title track.
He first heard the record at 13, growing up in regional Australia. The band last toured the show four years ago and are reworking it for the anniversary.
Chocolate Starfish arrived in the early 1990s. Their hits include their take on You're So Vain by Carly Simon, plus their own Mountain and Four Letter Word, and they have had two Top 10 albums.
